Morocco
Studying abroad in Morocco was one of the best cultural experiences of my life. While in Rabat, I experienced daily Moroccan life through my homestay and independently explored the Old Medina. Among my most meaningful culinary memories were meals at a local restaurant in Agdal, introduced to us by one of our program mentors who quickly became a trusted friend and guide. Over warm communal plates, we debated, discussed, listened, and shared. Experiences like these reinforced that food extends beyond nutrition and is a force that unites people across cultures and backgrounds. Not to mention it was some of the best food we had.
Morocco is a country that leaves you craving more. I look forward to visiting again to continue exploring the rich culture that spans the entire country.
